When I tell someone I’m a Quaker, inevitably someone tells me, “Really? You know, Richard Nixon was a Quaker,” with a smug little “look, I got you!” smile.
I’m going to start responding to this by telling my informant that they’ve been misinformed, and that Nixon was actually Rastafarian, behind closed doors.
