Musings on Food | The Public Radio Talent Quest

… and lo! I squeaked my entry in just in the nick of time.

Feeling bored? Got a couple of minutes to kill? I’d love it if people (who wanted to) would register and rank my entry, as well as the many other fine entries on the site.

Recording something to fit a set time-limit: harder than I’d thought. Recording something with only vague requirements: also hard. The focusing effect a tight deadline has on one’s mind and creative processes: surprisingly effective. Nerve-wracking, but effective.

I have no illusion that I’ll make the cut to the 10 semi-finalists — there are a ton of really cool, catchy entries up there — but the process of doing this has been a very educational (if not always comfortable) process. I’m glad I did it.
