Got paged out of bed at 5 a.m. yesterday (admittedly, it was to deal with a boondoggle of my own creation) and then worked through until 6 p.m., when I made gumbo with collard greens and kale, worked on some wedding lists, and then played Halo until 11:30… Despite all this, I still bounced out of bed this morning with Kate at 6. Go figure. Made tea, tried vanilla rice milk on my cereal (verdict: it’s a lot better than gritty soy milk) and loudly sang along to Doughty’s “American Car” with Kate until she kissed me and swooped off to work.
