Atomic Blast Photos

Via Warren Ellis, some pictures of the first few microseconds of an atomic bomb going off. Weirdly, hauntingly odd. The pictures make the explosion look like something malevolent and biological and rapidly growing – like cancer, if that’s not too hackneyed a comparison.
