I baked two loaves of bread, Monday. Hands-down the best loaves of bread I’ve ever made, although that’s not saying much, considering that every bread I’ve ever made has topped out at “mediocre.”
But these… tangy sourdough, with good crusts. One of them I even cut the top of cosmetically. Took that one down to dinner with Marc and Jill and Lafayette, and was totally tickled to watch Lafayette down at least a sixth of the loaf at dinner, with butter. (He loves bread.)
Next version, I’m going to add some whole-wheat flour, but for now, I’m totally stoked on what I’ve already made.
