First on-air

I just got back from doing my very first paid on-air newscast – a two-minute local-news headlines summary bit at the top of the hour on WFUV, up in the Bronx.

A little nervewracking, being the only one in the studio, and I went one or two words over the end of the two minutes, annoyingly, but hey: it was my first one, and I did it. Next time: less detail about the weather, and coming in at 1:58 instead of 2:02.

Now for a day of cleaning and prep for tonight’s Twelfth Night party. If you’re in New York and want to come by for Smoking Bishop and mingling, give me a call!
