"We were looking for a company that had a clear commitment to their
stockholders" Gil Amelio said. "With our stock prices dropping as fast as
FTP's did, we knew we could benefit from their experience" Amelio must
really believe what he is talking about. Information obtained from
sources inside Apple Computer confirmed that in addition to Steve Jobs,
Next and Steve Wozniak all working on the next Macintosh operating system,
programmers at FTP are throwing in their expertise as well. "We are
comitted to intra-net technologies which we believe will propell Apple
into the next decade" says one programmer inside FTP "It has been a long
time since we have had an opportunity to work with anyone with a clear
vision; Apple has recently demonstrated clearer vision than anything seen
inside FTP for...well...YEARS it seems."

When asked if adding FTP's technology to the Macintosh OS strategy in
progress would delay System 8.0 any further, Amelio was quick to mention
the lighting response by FTP to react to Windows 95 and the latest version
of NT. "We are on track with our current OS timetable" says Amelio "The
only thing that might delay us more is adding technology from Nabisco and
Mennen...which is a strong possibility."

Both FTP and Apples stocks dropped another $4.25 after the announcement
today.
